That's what it took to get my SCU-17 to work with the FT-950. I have my power set to 100 watts in the radio and am able to control the ALC and power out using the TX control WK1J (posted info above) has the procedure for setting up the windows sound card. I do have the "Revers left and right channels" checked in Fldigi sound card settings. In the FTDX-1200 the setting is USB DATA to get it to work. Set the rig to USB-PKT mode to get the SCU-17 to send the data. The SCU-17 settings in Flrig do not work and W1HKJ suggested using the PTT via CAT and it worked. Also in Flrig check PTT via CAT to key the rig.ĭisregard the standard PTT port for the SCU-17. I have 2 stopbits and Echo checked in Flrig. Mine was com2 and set the baud rate to match what you have the FT-950 set to. I have made over 100 PSK31 and 100 RTTY contacts on 5 bands with this setup. I used Flrig and set the com port for CAT at whatever your computer assigns the enhanced port number to I have a Yaesu FTdx5000MP with the SCU-17 sound card interface, using the Yaesu SCU-21 Data bacle (one din plug for Data, the other for FSK RTTY) and using Fldigi 14.0.14 and Flrig 1.3.37 and everything work great here. SCU-17 has 2 com ports one enhanced for CAT control and one standard for PTT. My settings to get the SCU-17 to work with the FT-950. On the FTdx5K the Data gain and Data Out levels help fine tune your setup. Select Autostart and lick “locate and browse to the directory for flrig. Select the Right channel and select Modem signal on left and right channels. Select Settings, Sample rate, Capture= Auto, Playback=Auto.
